Management of the Sea

With vast expanses marinas, especially in the relatively calm Pacific Ocean, Central America is a region suitable for mariculture. Costa Rica's rights in the Pacific on an area 11.4 times its national territory (about 560,000 km2 vs sea. 51,000 km2 of land). This marine area is poorly used in an unsustainable fishing, which is in fact largely foreign. Seeing this satellite image, you can imagine that there is a "field" to spare at sea for the expansion of agriculture, which has in fact with all the water they need.
