Cages implemented in 2008

One purpose is to test local materials and designs. We are in the process and here we report some of the most interesting cages. Soon we will be providing more complete analysis, including results on its use on animals. In any case, until now almost every cage we did play its role if it is installed correctly. The issue of sustainability is being evaluated, but if you are able to implement low-cost cages construibles and locally, is worth little while last time (one or two years) - which will be included in the financial analysis.

Light, rustic if you like, but endured. Jaula shrimp, described in the section. Palito, Chira.

Cage with frame made of PVC and metal sieve. This cage was surprisingly resilient, as we did the experiment to store timburiles. Isla Chira.

Submerged cages for fish, local design (PVC filler concrete). A few days in water, a large tidal drag and lost a leg. Is being repaired. Horse Island.

PVC large cage, built in Bocana The Island of Chira.

The cage used PVC 3 "mesh and 1 boat." Fish is a certain size but who want to turn the handle on the cage shrimp.

The first cage we made with thin rod construction. The perimeter is dictated by a rod 6 m. Height 1.7 m. This cage is in Punta Morales.

The cage has proven extremely resilient. Currently we use to smooth the inside handle and a lighter cage for early growth of shrimp.

Following the previous model, was built cage Deer, described separately. This cage was damaged and is being evaluated.

Nasa to capture juvenile and other animals. We have several like this, with different design on all the entries. We use mesh chinchorro ¼ "or ½". Sometimes they manage to get very interesting results as a whole shoal of juvenile croaker (over all 120 individuals in a pot).
